Eden Brown - Sold
Hamilton Bradshaw invested in Eden Brown in 2007 as the cornerstone investment in the Human Capital Investment Group (HCIG), their flagship buy-and-build platform in the staffing sector.
At the point of investment, Eden Brown covered the construction and technical sectors and had grown to profits just shy of £2m. Today, through HCIG’s organic and M&A strategy, the group has increased both net fees and profits significantly, and has built its contractor book to over 5,000 temps paid each week, and now has 16 brands in its portfolio. They have made a number of acquisitions including Resourcing Group and Synergy, and have backed start-ups including Caritas.
Eden Brown was sold as part of the MBO of the Human Capital Investment Group, backed by Graphite Private Equity in November 2014.
The company grew from 3 people to more than 55 in a short space of time and has won many awards, including Mara Best Integrated Agency and coming 8th in the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. Hamilton Bradshaw recently supported the company to purchase one of its main competitors Purple Consultancy, giving the business it’s first acquisition, a faster growth rate and an even broader footprint in the sector.
Hamilton Bradshaw backed entrepreneur Simon Fellowes to fulfil his ambition to create a leading recruitment business in the energy sector.Hamilton Bradshaw has helped Simon to build a quality team and to grow the business internationally in a turbulent market, with a focus on quality of service and a diverse range of sub-sectors.
With its tailored approach to client service delivery, today the company is proud to be a key supplier to some of the world’s largest energy clients placing contractors in over 50 countries each year. Voyage is achieving its growth both organically and through acquisition. Hamilton Bradshaw has supported the company in the purchase of two recruitment companies in the space, providing specialisms in two key sub-sectors and further scale/diversification to the growing group business.
